In June each year is held the Oldmeldrum Sports, a very entertaining spectacle on the Scottish highland games circuit

With the opening of the new Meldrum Academy school in Oldmeldrum in 2001, there has been a big change to much of the community infrastructure. The community Library and Police Station are now incorporated within the school main building, and extensive facilities are available for further education and recreation for school pupils and adults. Rotary Organization

Did you know you could collect big donations for Rotary Club of Oldmeldrum Charity Trust when you buy things online, by doing this through the Easy Fundraising website?

As part of the Rotary Literacy project, Oldmeldrum Rotary Club was instrumental in establishing links and arranging funding for the First Steps Himalaya charity. Further details of this can be seen at Rotary District 1010 First Steps Himalaya - overview website.

Oldmeldrum Rotary Club have also been actively involved in the Rotary Shoebox Scheme which provides gifts of shoeboxes that contain toys, toiletries, educational items or household goods to people of Eastern Europe who live in a world of poverty.

One of the major drives by the Rotary Organisation worldwide is to eradicate Polio throughout the world. A website which gives details of the efforts going into this in Rotary 1010 District is the Thanks for Life, End Polio Now website.
